Good News! The end of summer into early fall is the best time to take a beach vacation to Galveston Island! Just 90 minutes from most places in Houston, Pointe West is the perfect destination! My husband and I chose this beautiful community for its mile long, no-drive beach, large amount of amenities and pristine homes.
At the end of summer, rates start to trend down. The water and air temps are still warm, the days are still long, the beaches are way less crowded and the amenities are still available! This is the best time to take a vacation!
Whether you are a family with young children, have school-aged children who are homeschooled, are child-free and looking to relax, or someone who works remotely, this is the perfect destination for you! My husband and I both work from home and have equipped this condo with high speed WIFI, a blue tooth printer, a desk and a chair in the second bedroom. (Although we prefer to work at one of the tall tables on the balcony, feel the ocean breeze and stare at the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico!)

The Pointe West Community offers everything you need for your stay, including a restaurant and bar/grill for those times you don’t feel like cooking. If you do want to cook, you just need to bring your food. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare awesome meals, including brand new appliances!
