If you’re obsessed with the beach like I am, you will totally understand the name my husband and I gave to our oceanfront condo! After 30 years of staying, “I want to own a beach house someday,” the purchase of our condo ensured that someday actually came!
My husband and I have lived in nine states, and been to beaches in Hawaii, St. Thomas, Mexico, Bahamas, California, Florida, New Jersey, South Carolina, etc. Having seen so many beautiful beaches, I was really picky (or as my husband calls it, spoiled) when it came time to look for a beach house of our own. Pointe West is on the far western end of Galveston Island. This pristine community spans 1,000 acres on both the Gulf of Mexico and the Galveston Bay sides of the island. We were very fortunate that a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom oceanfront condo was available at the time we decided to buy! The huge balcony with the amazing view is what really sold us. (Oh, and of course the fact that it had a washer/dryer inside of the unit was a must have, too!)
In the few months we’ve owned it, we’ve replaced all of the kitchen appliances, the blinds, the outdoor furniture, and spent time making sure every inch of the condo was clean and well stocked for our upcoming guests! Since my husband and I both work from home, (and knowing that many of our future guests probably do too) we set the condo up with high speed internet, a desk, chair and even a printer.
